Buffalump Tartare
There are more ways of preparing buffalump than can possibly be detailed here. Roasted, broasted, boiled, grilled, fried... all fantastic. But personally, and you can call me a traditionalist, the best way to enjoy a good Buffalump is the way nature intended: waiting in the tall reeds for a big fat one to come down to the creek for a drink...

'Big. Stupid. Slow. Smelly. Chews with their mouth open. But enough about my mother in law...' - Popular Nomad Joke

Buffalumps are large peaceful grazing mammals. They are popular among humans for food as well as serving as pack animals and farming aids. Wild buffalump can be seen all along Shoal Fields and the Wandering Plains. They mostly keep to themselves and aren't prone to stampeding. If it weren't for their generally unpleasant smell, they'd be the perfect companions.

Quests

Slow to anger. Slow to move. Slow thinking. Slow eaters. Buffalump are never in anything resembling a hurry. But there isn't a stronger pack animal in the Wandering Plains and the amount of goods they can carry on trading trips is remarkable enough to make up for their lack of urgency. Or if farming is more your speed, a single Buffalump can plough an entire field without needing to rest.
